The £5.5k-p/w talent’s father recently took to social media to confirm that he was in London, which came not long after there was rumoured interest in his son from the capital – and it would now appear that the admiration from both clubs has been taken a step further.

According to 90min, Chelsea and the Gunners are “in contact” with the representatives of Roque regarding a potential deal later in the summer. Barcelona had been leading the race, but they are currently only able to offer a loan with an obligation to buy due to their financial position, which doesn’t satisfy the striker’s agents – meaning that he’s looking elsewhere.

He said (3:49): “There's a possibility that Rashford's on the bench here. I'm not sure I'm confident that Rashford is going to be starting in this game.

"That's my reading of the situation so far. That's just speaking to a couple of journalists that like cover United, who have basically been at the presser.

"I mean, to be honest, they probably haven't heard that much more than we've actually seen coming from the presser ourselves. But it's just a tough one and it's a dilemma.”

In potentially big news for the Blues, Thiago Silva returned to training Monday and so he is now in contention to play against Real Madrid, while N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount could also both feature.

The 59-year-old's "support in the David Sullivan-led boardroom is dwindling" and it is even claimed that the club have been "sounding out alternatives" to replace him.

This only highlights how important Saturday's clash with Fulham is, not only for Moyes but also generally in terms of West Ham's hopes of survival. Granted, they have one game in hand on those around them, but they are still only out of the relegation zone by virtue of goal difference and they don't look like picking up consistent points at the moment.

The hope is that Moyes is able to inspire a big performance out of his players this weekend, though, both potentially saving his job and easing the nerves of supporters in the process. It won't be easy, however, with Fulham sitting 10th in the Premier League after an impressive campaign.

Marco Silva has done an excellent job in charge and they will prove to be a stern test for the Hammers, although one thing that could give the visitors hope is that fact that the Cottagers have lost their last four matches, in all competitions.
