Newcastle United have lost one of their first-team regulars to injury ahead of the trip to Milan, and a fresh report has revealed the exact number of games that he’s expected to miss.

Who is injured for Newcastle United?

Joe Willock, Javier Manquillo and Emil Krafth are all currently sidelined with injuries, but Eddie Howe did receive a boost with a few of his stars having returned from the treament room over the weekend.

During Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League victory over Brentford, Sven Botman, Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali all staged their own individual comebacks which is helpful considering that the northeast outfit are set to compete in their first Champions League fixture vs AC Milan at the San Siro this week.

According to Newcastle World it goes from bad to worse, as Joelinton is expected to be on the sidelines for at least the “next six matches” after sustaining a knee injury during international duty for Brazil.

Speaking to the media, Howe previously said: “Joe had a recurrence of his knee injury playing for Brazil in the second game so he won’t be with us for a few weeks”, and the outlet claim that the earliest he’s expected to return to action is for the Premier League game vs Crystal Palace on October 21.

Delhi Daredevils coach Ricky Ponting’s aggression and urge to win has already given “goosebumps” in the team camp, according to batsman Shreyas Iyer.”He’s very aggressive and has a positive frame of mind,” Iyer said on Monday during the team camp. “When he gave a speech to all of us on the first day, it gave us goosebumps. His frame of mind was naturally about winning, everyone comes in and we talk a lot about process. When he came in, he had just one mindset at the time: that to win and he elaborated a lot on that.”He asks us to play our own game and not necessarily change our technique or skill. He has his way of preparing youngsters. It has just been three or four days since he has come in, we will get to learn a lot.”Iyer said Ponting’s approach to T20s was in stark contrast to that of Rahul Dravid, Daredevils’ former mentor. “Dravid is calm and cool, he likes to follow the process and nurture the kids. Ponting is opposite, but their frame of mind is the same. Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou could be "taking a big punt" at Spurs amid some recent news, according to journalist Dan Kilpatrick.

Which players have left Tottenham?

The north Londoners have reshaped their squad very well over the summer transfer window, with Spurs sealing the signings of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, young centre-back Ashley Phillips, defender Micky van de Ven, playmaker James Maddison, winger Manor Solomon, striker Alejo Veliz and Brennan Johnson.

Going the other way, star striker Harry Kane stood out as the most blockbuster departure from Tottenham, with the England international sealing a multi-million pound switch to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Alongside Kane, Sergio Reguilon, Joe Rodon, Djed Spence, Harry Winks, Alfie Devine, Troy Parrott and Dane Scarlett all sealed permanent or temporary moves elsewhere.

Tottenham also facilitated all of these transfers without the presence of a sporting director, something Postecoglou called "unusual".

“It's unusual,” Postecoglou said.

“If you look at the way the club's worked previously, [a sporting director has] always been in place. So that means it's different, which I assume won't be the case moving forward.

“Here, you've got both so you're going into a window where a lot of things that are usually embedded in this kind of period aren't there.”

Out of the window, Spurs also managed to offload both defender Davinson Sanchez and midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who have both joined Turkish side Galatasaray on permanent and loan deals respectively.

Tottenham will be glad to temporarily rid themselves of Ndombele's £200,000-per-week wages, while Sanchez's Spurs career took a downward trajectory since he joined from Ajax in 2017.

However, despite their transfers not exactly working out, reporter Kilpatrick has said the sale of Sanchez is a particularly big gamble.

Commenting before exit was officially confirmed, Kilpatrick wrote on X:

"If Spurs sell Sanchez, they're taking a big punt on Romero & VDV staying fit until Jan. But he obviously had no future under Postecoglou & deserves to go & play, so it makes sense to get a fee now. Would have been so much better to do it sooner and replace him obviously.

"In an ideal world, Phillips gets some minutes (as back up RCB, assuming Dier is not going to come back in) but doesn't have to start games & Spurs sign another senior CB early in January. But an injury at the back and their positive start could get hit the rocks quickly."

Will Spurs sign a defender in January?

For much of the summer window, Spurs were linked with another defensive signing after van de Ven, including Torino ace Perr Schuurs among others.

It is potentially realistic to believe the Lilywhites could plot another move for the 23-year-old in January, especially considering he could cost just £34 million to prise away from Serie A.

Everton could be preparing for a summer transfer market battle, as a new target emerges for Sean Dyche to challenge for.

The Blues have been linked with a host of talent already this window, with the side hoping to move away from their recent status of being a club on the fence between the Premier League and Championship.

Dyche led the Toffees to safety in the final game of the 2022/23 season, and with the opportunity there to strengthen this summer, the club could still see some new arrivals before the window shuts.

Another attacking talent has emerged as a potential target for Everton, with Fabrizio Romano naming Porto starlet Goncalo Borges as a player being eyed on Merseyside last week.

The renowned journalist stated that both the Toffees and West Ham are showing interest in the 22-year-old, who could be on the move this summer away from his home nation.

Representing Porto’s B team, the intricate wide player is deployable on both the left and right side, providing a significant threat in the final third for his energetic approach to play from the flank.

Identified for his pace and efforts in possession by talent scout Jacek Kulig, as well as being likened to Bayern Munich sensation Serge Gnabry for his style, the youngster was once named by Kulig as part of the “superb” U19 Porto side that won the UEFA Youth League.

It’s little surprise that the Lisbon-born talent has generated interest from the Premier League, with him netting five goals and registering two assists in 17 league appearances for the B team last term.

For Everton, the £1.7m -rated winger could add significant strength to Dyche’s side, in areas that are expected to change this summer, with the future of Demarai Gray a continuing doubt.

In July, journalist Rob Dorsett claimed that Fulham had reached an agreement to sign the Jamaican from Everton, adding that Dyche wouldn’t sanction the move until the Blues had recruited a sufficient replacement.

The 27-year-old has scored just nine goals in the Premier League since his arrival at Goodison Park in 2021 and is identified as one of the more replaceable figures in Dyche’s set-up due to his inconsistencies.

By signing Borges, therefore, the Englishman could finally replace the former Leicester City winger, with a young talent that has the potential to reach new heights in the English top-flight in what could be an exciting individual challenge.

Described by scouting site Total Football Analysis as having a ‘very direct approach to dribbling’, the 22-year-old could be the ideal replacement for Gray, who excels in similar attributes.

One area of Gray’s play that has been inconsistent at Goodison is his end product in the final third, which Dyche could find relief in through the reported target, who has been praised for his strengths in playing ‘excellent balls into the area’.

With West Ham also eyeing the talent, Everton should strike fast if they are to capture the youngster, who could be a strong signing for the Toffees.

Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo is edging closer to leaving the Etihad Stadium to join Barcelona this summer, with a new update dropping in the last 24 hours.

Taking to X, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has issued an update surrounding Cancelo's future amid interest from Barcelona in his services, stating to his following on the social media outlet:

"Understand Barça and Man City are now discussing final details of João Cancelo deal! Not sealed yet but breakthrough expected soon. Cancelo, patiently waiting as he agreed terms with Barça weeks ago and wants the move. Barcelona hope to get it done this upcoming week."

According to 90min, Barcelona are 'confident of finalising' a move for the £250k-a-week ace this week and will take the Portugal international on loan for this campaign, with a £30million option-to-buy clause inserted into his agreement that can be activated next summer.

The report also states that Cancelo had attracted interest from Arsenal and clubs in Saudi Arabia, but his first choice was always to seek first-team involvement at Barcelona under Xavi after becoming 'surplus to requirements' at Manchester City.

Boca Juniors left-back Valentin Barco has been lined up as a potential replacement for Cancelo by Pep Guardiola and has a £10 million release clause that Manchester City are willing to pay, as per The Sun.

Brighton & Hove Albion are also keen on the Argentinian youngster, who the Blues would be willing to loan back to his current employers until January.

Last season, Cancelo spent the second half of proceedings out on loan at Bayern Munich, but the German giants elected not to activate his €70 million buyout clause, as per Romano.

Is it a mistake to sell Cancelo?

Despite his obvious talent, it became clear earlier this year that Manchester City boss Guardiola and Cancelo may have been on divergent paths due to a rift surrounding the 29-year-old's game time that eventually resulted in his loan move to Bayern Munich, as per The Guardian.

Guardiola felt that Cancelo had to leave the club on loan after being unwilling to accept a reduced role in the Spaniard's plans amid Nathan Ake's rise to prominence in the left-back position.

In his short stint in Germany, Cancelo made 21 appearances in all competitions for Bayern Munich, registering one goal and six assists in total, as per Transfermarkt.

Labelled as "outstanding" by former Manchester City man Paul Dickov back in 2021, Cancelo impressed in the Bundesliga with his ability to glide by his opposite number, completing 2.3 dribbles per match, as per WhoScored.

According to FBRef, Cancelo has also excelled in comparison to his positional peers across Europe's top five divisions regarding progressive carries, averaging around 4.63 per 90 minutes in the last 365 days, putting him in the 97th percentile for this metric.

Manchester City manager Guardiola will be well aware of Cancelo's desire to play regular first-team football and won't be willing to sacrifice dressing room harmony to appease any individual, meaning a loan move to Barcelona looks like the best possible solution for both parties before the close of play in the market.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is 'coming round to the idea' of selling star striker Harry Kane this window as uncertainty over his future in north London continues to rage on, according to journalist Alex Crook.

Which club will Harry Kane go to?

According to Sky Sports, Kane expects to stay at Tottenham if he is not sold by the Lilywhites before their opening match of the Premier League campaign against Brentford on August 13th.

Bayern Munich are desperate to land the England international this summer and are expected to improve their £81.7 million offer for Kane alongside offering him a five-year deal to move to the Allianz Arena, though Spurs are holding out for a fee of £100 million.

The German giants sent chief Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe over to London for a meeting with Tottenham chairman Levy on Monday to try and seal a deal for the £200k-a-week ace, according to BILD reporter Heiko Niedderer via The Daily Mail.

TEAMtalk understand that Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are considering submitting a world record bid for Kane after failing in attempt to land Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

Al Hilal believed that an offer in the region of £200 million may be enough to tempt Levy to sell Kane; however, the player has little desire to move to the Gulf region in the prime of his career.

Last term, Kane was in excellent form for Tottenham, registering 32 goals and five assists in 49 appearances across all competitions, as per Transfermarkt.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist Crook thinks that Levy may have finally adopted a stance of acceptance with regards to potentially losing Kane's services this window.

Crook stated: "The fact Daniel Levy is even willing to sit down with the two guys from Bayern Munich suggests that maybe he's coming round to the idea of selling for the first time really.

"So it puts Spurs in a difficult position, because can they afford to risk hanging on to him and then him leaving for free next summer? Probably not is the answer, so it's not ideal."

They picked up all the 10 wickets of the opposition inside as many overs, with Nathan Coulter-Nile, Chris Woakes and Colin de Grandhomme accounting for nine of those.After Royal Challengers Bangalore were sent crashing to 49 all out at the Eden Gardens, Woakes called it an “unbelievable” win not least because Knight Riders knew they had a below-par total. “The heads were down in the dressing room at half-time,” Woakes told . “But, we came out and we had a chat and we said it was time to show some pride and fight. The captain wanted some intensity and the two opening bowlers did that. The rest of us backed it up from there on. I suppose until you go out there and don’t pick wickets, you don’t believe you can do it. Once we started getting wickets, all of a sudden you had belief.”It was Coulter-Nile who had triggered the collapse by dismissing Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in his first two overs before claiming Kedar Jadhav’s wicket in his third. Woakes said he could tell Coulter-Nile was in good rhythm from the way he was bowling. “It was a great opening spell of T20 bowling. He was hitting the pitch pretty hard and moving the ball well,” Coulter-Nile said. “Getting Virat Kohli first ball showed you his confidence.
